Seaford Fishing Pier Closed to the Public As of August 10th, 2026, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has closed the Seaford Fishing Pier to anglers and public access following structural concerns identified during a recent engineering assessment.

The Seaford boat ramp and parking lot remain open. The closure applies to specifically to the fishing pier.

We encourage the community to utilize other public fishing areas in Seaford while the future of the Seaford Fishing Pier is determined.

Riverview Park, located adjacent to the Seaford boat ramp, offers a public fishing pier.

The Riverwalk and Oyster House Park also provide fishing opportunities along the Nanticoke River.

The City of Seaford will share additional information as it becomes available from DNREC regarding the future of the fishing pier. You can find out additional information on the closure on Delaware DNREC's website.
