Police Request Approval of BJAG Funds

The Seaford Police Department respectfully requests approval to accept $19,812.00 in grant funding through the FY 2025 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program – Local Solicitation.
This funding is part of a direct allocation from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), which identified Seaford, Milford, Laurel, and Georgetown Police Departments as jurisdictional partners within Sussex County for the 2026 award cycle. The total joint allocation is $70,223.00, with Seaford’s portion being $19,812.00.
JAG funding supports a broad range of local criminal justice initiatives, including law enforcement operations, equipment, and technology improvements. The Seaford Police Department intends to utilize these funds in accordance with program guidelines to support operational needs.
Approval of this request will authorize the acceptance and expenditure of these funds.
