On March 10th, 2026, the City of Seaford Council voted to close Jay's Nest Playground due to safety concerns. While this decision was not made lightly, it reflects the City's commitment to ensuring safe recreational spaces for the community.
As many residents know, Jay's Nest has been a beloved space for many families. Although it is difficult to see the playground close, the City is moving forward with plans to demolish the existing structure and construct a brand-new playground designed to better serve the community.
Community input will play a vital role in shaping the future of this space. Residents are encouraged to share their feedback through a public survey, which will help guide the design and features of the new playground.
