The safety of our residents—especially our youngest ones—always comes first.
After a recent assessment of the community-built playground, we’ve identified several areas that need attention to ensure it remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone. For this reason, portions of the Jay's Nest Playground will be temporarily closed while we evaluate the safest path forward.
We know this playground holds a special place in our community’s history, built by neighbors and families who poured their passion into creating a space for children to enjoy. That spirit of care is exactly why we’re approaching this situation thoughtfully and respectfully.
The condition of the playground, along with ideas for future improvements, will be part of an upcoming Council Meeting discussion on March 10, 2026. Renovation and improvement possibilities are being explored to preserve the character of the playground while keeping it safe for years to come.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this process with the community’s best interest at heart.
