Our Public Works department will be shutting off the water on S. Conwell St. on June 7th. The shutdown is necessary to relocate a fire hydrant on S. Conwell St. as part of a larger green street infrastructure project.

Seaford Pedestrian Ordinance to Encourage Public Safety

The City of Seaford in partnership with the Seaford Police Department would like to give notice to the public that the Pedestrian Ordinance approved by City Council on February 22, 2022, is effective. The Pedestrian Ordinance is a new chapter to the code in Chapter 12, Section §12.1.13 that prohibits pedestrians from being upon a median unless that person is in the process of crossing and/or pedestrians and vehicles stopping or loitering within 200 feet of an intersection at any street or right-of-way within the limits of the City of Seaford.

Seaford Memorial Day Ceremony

The Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Veterans’ Memorial in Kiwanis Park, Stein Highway and Atlanta Road, Seaford, sponsored by the Seaford Veterans Committee.The scheduled guest speaker for the Monday, May 30, 2022 event is Brian O'Day, an 18 year veteran and US Marine Corps officer and a 1999 Seaford High School graduate.

Carper, Coons, Blunt Rochester Announce $1.2 Million to Improve Seaford Infrastructure

Speed Change Advisory

The speed limit change from 25mph to 15mph in the highlighted areas will go into effect starting this Monday, April 26th. Streets Impacted: Pine St., Arch St., 3rd St., Pearl St., E. King St., E. Poplar St., E., Spruce St., 4th St., E. Locust St., Beach St., 5th St., 6th St. The police department will be monitoring the area and taking educational enforcement steps as this change takes place.
