To apply for a position with the City of Seaford, please fill out the appropriate application for the position you are applying for. There are two different applications. One for any position within the Police Department and the other is for any other City position. Applications must be filled out in full. If submitting a resume, an application is still required. Police Officer-Patrolman

Become a full time officer with benefits - health and life insurance, pension, vacation, holiday pay and overtime. This is an Entry-level position and shift work is required. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a written exam, fitness agility, psychological screening, polygraph exam, medical exam and drug screen. High school diploma required. All applicants are subject to a criminal history background check. Candidates with State of Delaware certification may seek a waiver on the written exam and are encouraged to apply. CITY CLERK

Full-time employment with benefits: health, life, long-term disability insurance, pension, and vacation.  Completion of a six-month probationary period is required.  Normal working hours are Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. with some overtime hours required. Applicants must be able to multi-task, attend continuing education and seminars for the position.  This is an hourly position.  High School graduation or GED required. Preference will be given for an Associates degree in office administration, business or public administration related field. Experience preferred but not required.

PARKS PART-TIME SEASONAL 

Part-time seasonal employment available for the summer season, May 1st – Oct 31st. Normal working hours will vary with a maximum working allowance of up to 40 hours per week. Applicants are expected to have excellent oral and written communications with the public, elected officials, management, and fellow employees.
