Training
Successful candidates will begin a multi-level training phase starting at the Police Academy with comprehensive recruit training. Your career will begin as a uniformed patrol officer and upon completion of a probationary period, advanced career opportunities include Criminal Investigations Division/Narcotics, Advanced Accident Investigation, Recruit Training, and other areas of specialization, all of which can lead to supervisory, command and/or administrative positions. Other areas include School Resource Officer, Bicycle Patrol part-time program, future drone operations and the Mobile Command Post training.
