The City of Seaford is proud to be situated along the banks of the Nanticoke River. In an effort to allow for more activity along the river, the City has installed the Riverwalk and the Canoe Launch for public use. The Riverwalk is a 400 foot lighted, landscaped and paved sidewalk ideal for strolls along the river. The Canoe Launch offers a safe and convenient place for canoes to be launched. Both of these projects continue the efforts to share the most pristine river on Delmarva with water enthusiasts.
Outdoors
The Nanticoke River and proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean provide
a wide array of opportunities for outdoor activities.
Fishing
The Nanticoke River is a haven for large-mouth bass among other species.
Hunting
Find rabbit, squirrel, dove, quail, deer and raccoon along with
geese, rails, snipe, coot, and many species of duck here.
The Beaches
Seaford is conveniently located within an hour's drive of
six beautiful beaches.
Golf and Country Club
This club provides swimming, tennis, golf and many other activities for members.
Parks
- Kiwanis Park - a beautiful Memorial Park located on Stein Highway.
- Gateway Park - a park complete with brick sidewalks and a fountain, forming the gateway into beautiful downtown Seaford.
- Soroptimist Park - a park located on Williams Pond complete with a playground and a pavilion for parties.
- Nutter Park - named in honor of past Councilman Henry E. Nutter, Jr.; located in east Seaford with playground equipment and basketball courts.
- Williams Pond Park - a ballpark run by the Nanticoke Little League.
- Sports Complex - our newest park; includes the newly constructed Jay's Nest, our community-built playground. One softball field has been completed to date but three more softball fields, a youth football field, youth hockey field and volleyball court are planned.
- The Jays Nest - Seaford's community built playground.
Seaford also has two nature trails, perfect for hiking or biking.
Little League
Nanticoke Little League offers baseball and softball for youth ages 6-18.

Seaford has three outdoor pools for summer enjoyment.
