Applications are being accepted for Chief of Police. Interested candidates must be able to meet the following:
Article 6 of the Municipal Code is a Residency Requirement. If you are selected and accept this position you must live within the Seaford School District. A temporary waiver under special circumstances may be granted for a maximum of six months.
Certified by the State of Delaware to be a Municipal Police Officer, demonstrate past experience in Administration, and hold the minimum rank of Lieutenant.
Education - Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience, training, and some college will be given consideration in lieu of degree.
Pay - Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates must be able to successfully pass a written exam, fitness agility, psychological screening, polygraph exam, medical exam and drug screen. High school diploma required. All applicants are subject to a criminal history background check. Candidates with State of Delaware certification may seek a waiver on the written exam and are encouraged to apply.
