To apply for a position with the City of Seaford, please fill out the appropriate application for the position you are applying for. There are two different applications. One for any position within the Police Department and the other is for any other City position. Applications must be filled out in full. If submitting a resume, an application is still required. Parks Part-Time Seasonal

Part-time seasonal employment available. Completion of a six month probationary period is required. Normal working hours will vary with a maximum working allowance of 29 hours per week. Applicants are expected to have excellent oral and written communications with the public, elected officials, management, and fellow employees. This is an hourly position. High School graduation or GED required. Parks - Part Time Seasonal Part time position to provide support to the Parks Department during the busy summer season by assisting with maintenance and upkeep of parks, right-of-ways, sports fields, and other City owned facilities. Delaware COPT Certified and Non-Certified Police Officer

The Seaford Police Department is now accepting applications for Delaware COPT Certified and Non-certified applicants for the position of Patrolman. Starting salary will be determined commensurate with law enforcement experience from $46,508.80 up to $51,646.40.


The City of Seaford offers excellent benefits - health and life insurance, State Municipal Pension plan, vacation, holiday pay and overtime. This is an Entry-level position and shift work is required. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a written exam, fitness agility, psychological screening, medical exam and drug screen. High school diploma required. All applicants are subject to a criminal history background check.

Candidates with State of Delaware certification may seek a waiver on the written exam and are encouraged to apply.
