Minutes are also available on this web site. Elections The City of Seaford's Municipal Elections are held annually on the third Saturday of April. Planning and Zoning Commission The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. For questions regarding building permits or zoning, please contact our Code Department at (302) 629-9173. Click here for our zoning ordinance. Code Department The Code Department is responsible for enforcement of all codes and ordinances adopted in the Municipal Code of the City of Seaford. This includes, but is not limited to, the housing code, zoning ordinance, water and sewer fee assessment, violation enforcement and the 2003 International Building, Residential and Plumbing Codes. We review and issue permits for commercial and residential construction, signs and demolition. Please refer to our list of permit applications below to see if a building permit is required. Note that permits **ARE** required for decks, garden sheds, swimming pools, and siding. Permits are not required for fences (but must conform to our codes). Please contact the Code Department to verify if a building permit is required. Our department handles a variety of inspections. Please refer to your building permit for a list of all required inspections. It is the contractor’s responsibility to schedule an inspection.
